Cancellation Policy

To ensure fairness to all customers and to protect scheduled technician availability, Surge Appliance Repair & Dryer Vent Cleaning maintains the following cancellation and appointment policies.

 

Appliance Repair Appointments

 

(Excludes Warranty & Third-Party Protection Plan Appointments — see separate Warranty & Third-Party Protection Plan section below.)

 

Appointments canceled or rescheduled with 24 business hours or more notice:

No cancellation fee will apply.

 

Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 business hours notice:

A cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled assessment fee will apply.

 

No-Shows:

Customers who are unavailable at the scheduled appointment time, fail to provide access to the property or appliance, fail to answer contact attempts, or otherwise prevent completion of the scheduled appointment may be considered a no-show and charged the full assessment fee.

 

Follow-Up Appointments & Return Visits

 

Scheduled follow-up appointments, return visits, labor continuation appointments, or appointments involving ordered parts canceled after scheduling may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to $50.

 

This fee helps offset scheduling costs, technician time allocation, payment processing fees, and potential supplier or part restocking charges.

 

Certain ordered parts may be non-refundable or subject to supplier return restrictions.

 

Warranty & Third-Party Protection Plan Appointments

 

Warranty and third-party protection plan appointments require a minimum of 24 business hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling.

 

Late cancellations, rescheduling requests, missed appointments, lack of access, unsafe conditions, refusal of recommended repairs, or repeated scheduling issues may result in the warranty ticket being closed and billed to the warranty provider in accordance with provider requirements and policies.

 

Future warranty or third-party protection plan service requests may be refused at the Company’s discretion. Customers may be required to work directly with the warranty provider to arrange service with another company.

Dryer Vent Cleaning Appointments

 

Dryer vent cleaning appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 business hours notice may result in future service being declined.

 

Customers who repeatedly cancel, reschedule, fail to provide access, or miss scheduled appointments may be refused future service at the Company’s sole discretion.

Property Access & Service Conditions for Both Appliance Repair and Dryer Vent Cleaning Appointments

 

An adult 18 years or older must be present during all scheduled appointments.

 

Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the appliance, dryer vent system, or service area prior to technician arrival. Pets must be secured before technician arrival.

 

Additional labor charges may apply if appliances must be disconnected, removed from cabinetry, stacked units separated, excessive debris removed, inaccessible venting exposed, or work areas prepared prior to service.

 

Unsafe, Unsanitary, or Inaccessible Conditions

 

Service may be refused, discontinued, or rescheduled if the appliance, venting system, utilities, installation conditions, property conditions, weather conditions, or work environment are unsafe, inaccessible, unsanitary, hazardous, or otherwise unsuitable for service.

 

Applicable assessment fees, trip charges, cancellation fees, diagnostic charges, labor charges, or service fees still apply even if service cannot be completed due to these conditions.

 

Arrival Windows & Scheduling

 

Scheduled appointment windows are estimates only and may be affected by traffic, weather, prior appointments, emergencies, parts delays, or unforeseen service conditions.

 

Customers are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information and remaining reasonably available during the scheduled appointment window.

 

The Company reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to illness, weather, emergencies, parts availability, unsafe conditions, or circumstances outside of reasonable control.

 

Refund Policy

 

Assessment fees, diagnostic fees, service fees, trip charges, labor charges, cancellation fees, completed services, and installed parts are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or specifically authorized in writing by the Company.

 

Tips and gratuity are non-refundable under all circumstances.

 

This Cancellation Policy applies to all services scheduled with Surge Appliance Repair & Dryer Vent Cleaning.
